I have been associated with Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and a member, since 2000, of Professional Photographers of America (PPA). These professional organizations enable me to keep current on the latest trends and styles in photography. I feel that on-going training and education is important in the field of people photography, and I constantly strive to enhance my creativity and my technical skills. I shoot with Canon Professional cameras because of their beautiful color rendition and the quality of their lenses. I’m also a long time member of Canon Professional Services (CPS).

As owner and principal photographer for Creative Images Photography, it is my pleasure to thank you for your interest in having me create some beautiful photographs for you. My goal is to do the best job possible to ensure that your experience is pleasant, fulfilling, and memorable (and a whole lot of fun). I’m a licensed and insured professional photographer and have been a professional photographer for over thirty years. Hiring a photographer who knows posing and lighting is worth the money and time rather than letting someone who is not highly skilled create photographs that will be with you and your family possibly forever. I suspect you’ll recognize the talent and imagination I put into my images as you view my website.

I made my first photographs when I was about 11 and found my passion. I’ve worked as a photojournalist, taught photojournalism at Western Nevada College and was a photographer for the State of Nevada. At one time I was the principal photographer for the Governor of Nevada. This experience allowed me to photograph a variety of political events along with a host of celebrities. During that time, I was commissioned to photograph the Justices of the Nevada Supreme Court—their group portrait hangs in the Capital in Carson City.

I started my own photography studio in 1990. Along with wedding and portraiture I’ve shot glamour, pinup, boudoir, fine art nudes, model portfolios, fashion, families and graduating seniors — as you can tell, I specialize in people photography. I have a formal degree in Sociology, and it seems very natural to me to view people through a viewfinder. It’s just another way of showing how society operates. Making images has always been an important part of my life: I often say that “photography is my mistress.”
