Behind the Scenes

All, or nearly all, of these images were taken by either an assistant, someone who was taking a workshop or class I conducted, or a fellow photographer. I include them to illustrate some of the fun and different kinds of things we as photographers and those in front of our cameras often encounter. My dog, Charley died recently, I miss him a lot. He was a celebrity hound as much as he was a Beagle—and I had several people I photographed want him included in one or more of the images I made of them. The photograph of me showing a State Assemblyman or Senator how to use his camera (I can’t remember which he was) was taken by a fellow photojournalist covering the State Legislature, as I was, and he gave it to me. I hope you like them.
